The countdown to the Philadelphia Independent Film Awards has begun! To get the word out, awards founder and Gazelle Films LLC producer-screenwriter Floyd Marshall checked in with Tinsel & Tine blog Editor-in-Chief Le Anne Lindsay at the International Café in International House, 3701 Chestnut Street in Philadelphia. Awards for Best Picture, Director, Lead and Supporting Actors will be presented May 22, 6 pm at International House. BET “Comic View” comedian TuRae Gordon (“Soul Comedy” standup show at Warmdaddy’s weekly) and actress Alice Wills (“Luv Don’t Live Here Anymore”) host. UK celebrity journalist and activist Jenni Steele (“Keeping It Real With Steele” and “Steele Got It” on Juice radio) will co-host from the red carpet.
